Jubilee:
A rather new exciting addition to orpington bantam colours, is the Jubilee or Millefleur. I was sent eggs from the Netherlands in 2009, and hatched 9 pullets & 2 cockerel. The boys are very quiet as well as being very attractive, The Hens are simply stunning as they hang around in a group. I have both types of base colour, the lighter brown & the Mahogany. One of my hens was shown in the 2010 Federation & National poultry shows, she got a card in both events. Jane A. due to her hard efforts has got this lovely colour to be re-standardised from 2012, just in time for our Queen's Jubilee. The Jubilee is rather a scrappy starter, they do not show their potential until six months or so, the 1st pic shows one of the lads, and then the 2nd how he turned out.
