Gold Lace:
Gold Lace are another import from Europe. Mine were bought as eggs from Leon H. at LPH Poultry in 2008, and have grown into nice shaped hens that lots of visitors admire for their shape and colour. I was given a cockerel from a different line by S. Page of Pages Poultry at the end of 2009, they hatched a few nice pullets & I kept one cockerel to take back to them later on. The European line has fine shape & size plus the lovely lacing, but the English line is much more defined in the lacing and very black. I entered one of my hens at the 2011 national show and was pleased to get a 4th as she was still not fully out of moult.
